Hi,
As 2010 comes to a snowy close it seems like only a few months ago I sat and wrote the end of message for last year! With the terrible snow at the beginning of the year it certainly seemed like a mammoth task to get where we needed to be both in business and physically!
However, this year I have commenced Caltech’s transformation. The business is now slicker and our processes even tighter than ever. This will aid customer experience and allow us to provide more development expertise.
Our support desk has been monitored over the year and we are ensuring all calls are closed to requirements quickly and swiftly. The feedback has been excellent with 100% of people saying that Caltech’s communication support is good or excellent, 96.5% of people saying their case was closed to their satisfaction and 100% people saying that they would recommend Caltech’s support. So thanks again for your comments and answers on the surveys, and do keep them coming in.
We are running an exceptional offer on GoldReach until 20th December 2010. Contact Catherine@catlech.co.uk to find out more.
This year we have welcomed John Hesman who is a C# developer. John has brought a wealth of skills to the business which compliments our project management and ethos of CRM for our clients.
Don’t forget to register for any of our free webinars you may have interest in. Details on the newsletter.
To this end, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

The Beta test for Microsoft CRM 2011 Online is going really well with many of our clients now getting to grips (and loving) the new functionality and some of the great features of CRM.
This week more capacity was made available by Microsoft for their Beta as there was such a great response.
Caltech are holding webinars through Winter 2010 to showcase Microsoft CRM 2011. We also are offering our clients free 1 hour training slots of marketing, sales and service functionality which will help them to familiarise themselves with the system and really make a difference to their bottom line!
Caltech have been doing lots of work on configuration as well. For some users Microsoft CRM works “out of the box” but for others they may need a more defined ways of working so that support their internal processes and ways of working.
We have recently been working with a client who has a need for a helpdesk and is using Microsoft CRM. We are now mapping CRM to do exactly what they reuquire which includes reminders, workflows, automation and parts of their process to be underpinned.
For more information on Microsoft CRM, version 4 or 2011 please give Caltech a call or email George@caltech.co.uk.
Our next webinar is 5th November. Why not register to see the new solution! George@caltech.co.uk

Part 2…
In part 1 we set out the focus points that we should consider when thinking about using Microsoft CRM to be successful. In part 2 we will talk about how to focus on existing customers and get more from them.
In the CRM arena we talk about retaining the right customers and clients. Tapping into donors that will make a difference to your charity. The clients that will bring more money to your organisation, that are your raving fans, the ones that will not deviate or leave you…
But how do you identify them. Using Microsoft CRM effectively means that the information will be there avaialble to your management team to use that information in an informed way. Gone are the days of guessing who your most profitable customers are. With a joined up approach CRM can make exciting difference to your organisation. Think about it – your best customers are not the ones who are always in contact with you using your service desk, nor are they the ones that only put a purchase order through once a year.
Your best customers are those that are referral base to you, want your services more, buy more from you.
It is a well known fact that it is 6 more times costly to gain a new customer than to retain the right customers.
Using Microsoft CRM means that you can fully engage with every single one of your clients in a joined up way - every 30 days you can send a meaningful email or workflows can be set so that certain things are triggered. For example,
A client orders from you
An automatic letter which is personalised is sent to say thanks for your order
The order is processed
Microsoft can make sure that the order is going through in a timely way and help to track several parts of that order if there are lots of suppliers or people involved
When the order is sent, another workflow can be triggered from Microsoft CRM again personalised, to say thanks for your business, your order will be with you
You can capture what else they are interested in for targeting marketing purposes
Its about taking away the pain of tasks that happen as a matter of a process.
Each CRM system underpins a process – Microsoft CRM sits at the heart of an organisation.
