If you have heard about CRM but don't understand the implicatons of implementing a system, you need advice! Not just which software to purchase, indeed it maybe a better option to rent the software and access it through a third party hosted solution. 

Do you go for a phased installation approach or a "big bang" approach.  (You really don't want to go down the "big bang" route!) You need to think about who will use the system, how will it be used and what benefit will the business derive from using it.

What reports can be generated, who will need to be able to produce these reports, how long will they take and what decisions will be made after viewing them.
