xRM – Anything Relationship Management
In July 2009 Microsoft announced the 1 million user mark of CRM and talked about how it was expanding its xRM initiative.
xRM is where CRM becomes xRM – x standing for anything… Caltech have many customers using CRM for many other benefits than managing customers.
Not for profit clients obviously don’t have customers – they have donors, supporters, sponsors and more. Caltech specialise in supporting their needs by listening to these organisations to find out how they want to use CRM to get the x of out the system. For example:
- A regeneration organisation use xRM to match projects and groups with businesses wishing to get involved in corporate social responsibility activities
- A not for profit healthcare organisation using xRM to offer events and thus event management and provide information that is trackable and available
- An education setting managing students, accommodation, courses and suppliers
- Local government managing housing, queries and much more.
